What is the history and popularity of the app?

Front Desk are a young company having launched in 2013, yet they already have a steady growing client base and a team of more than 30 staff. Based in Seattle, the company was founded by a young team with experience in small business management.

Current clients come from the fields of fitness, sport, music, dance, and kids’ activities and are mainly small to medium sized sole proprietors and franchises. You can sign up for Front Desk for free through their homepage by clicking on the “Get Started” button on the top right-hand side of the screen. This leads to a page with a form to fill in with your email address, first name, last name and password. This then leads to a page that lets you create your “new business” by filling in key business details, such as address and business name, and your chosen URL.

What does it cost to use the application?

Front Desk is unique in that it is not based on plans or pricing tiers, but rather monthly revenue. The cheapest price is $75 per month for a monthly revenue below $8, 000 per month. If your monthly revenue is between $8, 000 and $10, 000 the app will cost you $80; if you make between $10, 000 and $20, 000 in monthly revenue you will pay $100 per month; while $20, 000 to $50, 000 monthly revenue will cost $180 per month. There is an additional cost for merchant processing, which costs 2.4% for US based businesses with no additional charges of any kind.
